Cow dies after cattle truck catches fire on I-40 near Yukon

CANADIAN COUNTY, OK — A cow was killed Friday night during a semi-truck fire on Interstate 40 near southeast Yukon, according to KFOR.
The accident happened near the intersection with North Mustang Road and was first reported by KFOR at 9:51 p.m.
Details are limited, but an official said a semi-truck hauling multiple cows caught fire. The fire was said to have spread from the cab of the semi to its trailer.
Responding fire crews worked to save the animals from the flames, but one cow died as a result of the incident.
It was unclear what caused the fire or whether the driver was hurt.
A section of the interstate was shut down during the emergency response and investigation.
