Driver dies after crash off US-64 in SE Tulsa County

TULSA COUNTY, OK — A 25-year-old Checotah man died Sunday morning after a single-vehicle accident on U.S. Highway 64 in Leonard, according to News9.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said the fatal wreck occurred near 157th East Avenue (East 140th Street/East 141th Street/Porter).
A preliminary investigation indicates the man had driven off the side of the highway before his vehicle struck a stop sign and a tree.
The victim, who was ejected from his car, was pronounced deceased on the scene.
No further details have been released. An investigation into the cause of the crash remains ongoing.
