Solo crash on OK-3 in McCurtain County kills 1, seriously injures 2

MCCURTAIN CO., OK – An 87-year-old man died on Friday, and two others were hospitalized after a solo collision along the highway in southern McCurtain County.
The incident happened around 3:30 p.m. along OK-3 near Idabel.
Police say that for unknown reasons, the 71-year-old female driver left the highway and collided with an electric pole.
A passenger in the vehicle, identified as Bert Lue Smith, died at the scene from internal injuries.
Medics transported the driver and a second passenger to the hospital with serious injuries.
A full investigation is underway.
