First responders dispatched to multi-vehicle collision on I-40 East in OKC

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – First responders were summoned to the scene of a multi-vehicle collision on Interstate 40 East in Oklahoma City on Friday.

The crash happened east of Interstate 44 and warranted the response of at least one fire truck and one ambulance, according to video footage from Koco5. Officials narrowed traffic down to one lane to accommodate the flow of morning traffic, for clean-up purposes and the investigation.

Officials have not confirmed the number of people and vehicles involved or reported any injuries.

A full investigation is underway.
