Driver hospitalized after car hits power lines at NW 50th and Hales

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – One person went to the hospital Saturday morning after an accident in northwest Oklahoma City, reports News 9.

The incident occurred sometime before 7:45 a.m. in the area of Northwest 50th Street and Hales Drive, which is just west of Penn Square Mall.

The circumstances of the crash remain under investigation. Police say that a vehicle overturned after hitting power lines along the roadway.

Photos taken at the scene indicate that a white SUV may have been involved.

The driver of the overturned vehicle required medical attention; there’s no word regarding the extent of his injuries.

A full investigation is underway.
