Driver killed when loose tire hits vehicle on I-35SB in Guthrie

GUTHRIE, TX – One person died Tuesday afternoon when a tire struck their vehicle along the interstate in south-central Logan County, reports News 9.
The incident occurred on the southbound side of I-35 near Industrial Road. This is in the southeastern outskirts of Guthrie, about 33 miles north of Oklahoma City.
Police say that a tire became detached from a northbound trailer and hit a southbound Jeep.
The driver of the Jeep sustained fatal injuries. Authorities have not yet released their identity to the public.
The driver of the vehicle hauling the trailer did not stop to render aid.
