PAYNE COUNTY, OK — A crash involving two commercial motor vehicles Thursday morning fully blocked northbound Interstate 35 near Orlando, according to KOCO News.
The accident happened on the northbound lanes just south of Exit 174 to Oklahoma Highway 51 into Stillwater. Oklahoma Highway Patrol officials responded to the scene shortly after 6:30 a.m.
It was unclear what led up to the wreck, but the OHP said a petroleum tanker truck and an Amazon semi-trailer were involved. Though the petroleum tank was empty at the time of the crash, one of the trucks burst into flames following the impact.
The scene had the northbound interstate completely blocked as crews worked to extinguish the flames, causing a significant traffic backup.
Officials said no one was injured in the event.
