Hit-and-run vehicle strikes, kills pedestrian at South Western and SW 44th

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – A pedestrian died early Thursday morning after a vehicle struck them in the South Walker area of Oklahoma City, reports News 9.
The incident happened around 4:30 a.m. near the intersection of South Western Avenue and Southwest 44th Street, which is between I-240 and I-35.
It’s not yet clear if the pedestrian was crossing the street at the time of the collision and, if so, if they were using a designated crosswalk.
Authorities haven’t released the name of the deceased.
The driver of the vehicle involved in the accident did not stop to render aid or to speak with police.
A full investigation is underway.
