Man arrested, woman killed in alleged DUI incident on Kimes Rd near Macomb

POTTAWATOMIE, OK – A 23-year-old Shawnee woman died Wednesday in an accident involving a pickup truck in central Pottawatomie County, reports KOCO News 5.

The incident happened around 7:30 p.m. just north of Macomb on Kimes Road near Brinkley Road. This is about 47 miles southeast of Oklahoma City.

Police say the woman, identified as Trinity Russell, fell from the window of the pickup truck while it was moving. Medics transported Russell to an area hospital, where she died from her injuries.

Authorities arrested the 20-year-old driver of the pickup truck on multiple counts, including driving under the influence and first-degree manslaughter.

Motorists likely encountered delays along Kimes and Brinkley Roads in the area of the incident while crews worked to clear the scene.

A full investigation is underway.
