Pedestrian dies after hit-and-run on SE 44th St in SE Oklahoma City

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK — A woman was fatally injured Tuesday morning when she was hit by a vehicle in the Lumberman III neighborhood of southeast Oklahoma City, reports KOCO.
The incident occurred near Southeast 44th Street and South Eastern Avenue. west of Akers Park.
An early investigation by Oklahoma City Police indicates the woman was traveling down the roadway on foot when she was struck by the vehicle.
First responders rushed the victim to a local hospital where she was later pronounced deceased.
The department said officers discovered debris at the crash site and a motorcycle with crash damage a short distance away.
At this time, no information on the driver has been provided. An investigation remains ongoing.
