Pedestrian hit, injured by car on I-35 in Oklahoma City’s Akers Park

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK — One person was hospitalized Thursday morning after being struck by a vehicle on Interstate 35 in southeast Oklahoma City, reports KOCO.
The incident took place near Southeast 15th Street, in the city’s Akers Park neighborhood. Officials with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol responded to the scene shortly after 6:30 a.m.
Few details have been disclosed at this time, but prior to the crash, the OHP received a call about a pedestrian in dark clothing walking along the interstate.
The victim was transported to a local hospital, where the severity of their condition remains unknown.
An investigation was in progress.
