Solo crash on I-35 NB near MM 177 kills teen, injures 3 others

PAYNE CO., OK – A 17-year-old boy sustained fatal injuries Thursday in a single-vehicle crash along the interstate in northwest Payne County, reports KOCO News 5.

The incident happened just after 6:20 a.m. on the northbound side of I-35, just northeast of Orlando and northwest of Stillwater.

Police say that for unknown reasons, the driver of a 2022 Kia Soul lost control of the vehicle and crashed, killing the teen passenger.

Medics transported two people via air ambulance to an area hospital with critical injuries.

A 13-year-old went to the hospital via ground ambulance with non-critical injuries.

A full investigation is underway.
