Three-vehicle collision on I-44 in Walters kills motorcyclist

WALTERS, OK – A 46-year-old motorcyclist died on Monday morning in a three-vehicle collision along the interstate in Walters, reports KSWO 7.
The incident happened on I-44 just south of the exit for Walters, which is south of US-277 and Love’s Travel Stop.
Police say that three vehicles were involved in the crash and that the driver of a 2022 Honda motorcycle died at the scene. Authorities identified the victim as Bobbie J. Bessette.
Neither of the other drivers sustained injuries in the crash.
Officials closed the interstate in the vicinity of the accident while crews investigated and worked to clear the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
