Woman killed after crashing head-first with semi near Oakwood

DEWEY CO., OK – A 29-year-old woman died Monday after her vehicle collided with an 18-wheeler along the highway near Oakwood, reports Woodward News.
The incident happened just after 8 a.m. on US-270 in Dewey County, just south and east of Oakwood.
Police say the westbound woman’s vehicle overturned after veering into the eastbound lanes and crashing head-first with a tractor-trailer.
Authorities identified the victim as Mikaela S. Warren.
The 61-year-old truck driver, identified as Douglas D. Stewart, sustained minor injuries and did not require hospitalization.
A full investigation is underway.
