1 dead, 1 injured after car crashes into NW OKC drainage

NORTHWEST OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – One person died, and another was injured after one car crashed into a 20-foot deep drainage on Saturday, Koco5 said.
The incident occurred before 3 p.m. at the intersection of Northwest 35th Street and May Avenue. Two vehicles collided, which led one to crash into the drainage.
Firefighters used a modified cane to remove the vehicle from the drainage system. First responders then transported the two people inside that vehicle to a hospital. There, one died, and another was treated for unspecified injuries.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
