Woman, 70, loses life to crash caused by tire blowout near Gage

NEAR GAGE, OK – A 70-year-old Oklahoma woman died as a result of a crash caused by a tire blowout on Highway 15 near Gage on Tuesday, OKCFOX reports.

The woman, identified as Leona Núñez, was driving west on the highway when her spare front right tire blew up, causing her to drift off the road and crash into a tree and ditch.

First responders pulled up to the scene after 3:40 p.m. and, a short time later, declared Núñez dead at the scene.
