Pedestrian killed after walking into traffic near 39th Expy and N Meridian

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – A pedestrian sustained fatal injuries Monday after a vehicle struck them along a busy roadway in northwest Oklahoma City, reports News on 6.
The incident occurred around 11:30 p.m. in the area of Northwest 39th Expressway and North Meridian Avenue, which is near the Windsor Hills area.
Police say the pedestrian walked in front of oncoming traffic before they were hit.
Medics transported the victim to the hospital, where they died soon after. Authorities have not yet released their name to the public.
The driver involved in the accident stopped to render aid and speak with police.
